Education work

I am a published poet, performance poet, and writer of short stories, based in the UK.

I am currently funded by Arts Council England to research and develop a novel, loosely based on my fathers family roots in North West India.

I also work freelance as a writer in schools, theatres, youth and community groups, and with other establishments.

My skills include scriptwriting and devising, poetry for page and stage, fiction, and life-writing, as well as teaching these skills to others in workshops, sessions and regular classes.

I am a qualified adult education tutor with the Workers Educational Association and teach creative writing and poetry. Please see the WEA South West (Exeter) website to find out about dates and courses.

Former clients for work within schools and with youth groups include: Theatre Royal, Plymouth - The Barbican Theatre, Plymouth - DAISI (Devon Arts In Schools Initiative)- South West Gifted and Talented - Centre for Contemporary Arts in the Natural World - RIO (Real Ideas Organisation)- Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust - Devon Library Services - Apples and Snakes - Creative Partnerships - Moor Poets - Youth Hostel Association, Bellever - as well as many independently organised projects and festivals, including those funded by Arts Council England.
